Cue Party Hats and Hip Hip Hoorays
Happy 10th Birthday, Fostering Hope. What started as a single foster child through a Sunday school class has evolved into a statewide movement to support displaced children. With your support, the mission of Fostering Hope continues to expand, one child at a time. Thank you for celebrating this milestone with your prayers and your contributions. Wishes do come true.
Thank you to one of our favorite caterers, Nanette’s Table. Nanette held a Bake Sale featuring her famous Ooey Gooey Cookies and donated the proceeds to celebrate Fostering Hope’s 10th Birthday. Thank you, Nanette.
Sportsmen Step Up
Oklahoma State Game Association hosted a Christmas toy drive. It was hard to miss the huge bass boat at Walmart’s entrance, and the earnest appeals for donations from the wardens. Teen Board leader, Wagner Czaruk, collected alongside volunteers as the boat filled with toys and essentials for foster boys and girls. Thank you, OSGA, for the clever way to support Fostering Hope's mission.
Here to Serve
Muskogee’s finest donated Christmas dinners with all the fixings to foster families. Everything from ham to pie was boxed and delivered to area families who are caring for foster children. FH board member Officer Josh, along with other local police officers, participated in the event.
Community Corner
Our rock star volunteers have been in full force lately. Andrea and Greeva helped a little boy feel extra special with a hair wash, a brand-new costume, and lunch, while the Fostering Hope team created a superhero-worthy emergency bag just for him.
And a huge thank you to Chelsi for rocking and singing over our newborn guest at the Fostering Hope House. We know they both felt safe, comforted, and loved.
Last but not least, thank you to our community partner, Rotary of Muskogee. Spearheaded by Rotarian Larry Hoffman and Lisa Wells, new coats and blankets were purchased and donated to Fostering Hope. Given the January weather here in Oklahoma, we are especially grateful to Rotary’s thoughtful gifts. Warm and cozy are two of our favorite adjectives at Fostering Hope!
