We provide both physical and emotional support to Oklahoma children who are awaiting placement in foster homes. Our #BagFullOfHope program, Hope House, and To-Go Birthdays help these children feel valued and seen during a challenging time. Fostering Hope envisions a future where families, community members, and child service agencies collaborate to care for children in the child welfare system.
The Fostering Hope Teen Board represents outstanding students from local high schools who have a passion to serve and help children in the foster care system. Students that participate in our Teen Board will participate in leadership training, fundraising events, and volunteer service hours while learning meaningful life lessons too.
*High School Students 10-12th grade
*Students with a 3.0 GPA or higher
*Monthly meeting plus fundraisers. More than two missed meetings are grounds for dismissal.
*Saturday, December 5, 2026 is required and an all day commitment.
*Attendance and active participation at all events is expected.
*Must be responsive to directors/members forms of communication.
*Students will be required to help bring on at least 1 Gingerbread Land sponsor.
*Must be able to make an emergency Bag Full of Hope
*Serve an 8 month term; please evaluate meeting and fundraiser dates before applying for this commitment.
2026-27 Teen Board meetings will be held September-April.
*All meeting times are from 6:00- 8:00 pm with the exception of Gingerbread Land which is an all day event.
