Fall 2026
Hello from everyone at Fostering Hope. It has been a busy summer meeting the needs of Oklahoma children. As always, our organization could not operate without your prayers and support. Thank you for being part of this mission. Here’s a glimpse of the difference you’re making.
Recent Highlights
Bringing the birthday joy
Our To-Go Birthday Parties are a favorite way to make sure every child feels celebrated on their special day. We are averaging 20 to 40 birthday parties a month for children across Oklahoma. Of course, a cake is an absolute necessity to celebrate the big day, especially with icing and sprinkles! Thank you to both the Brick Church in Muskogee and Okay First Baptist for these yummy additions to our Birthday Parties.
Often, children have a specific birthday request. Fostering Hope Birthday fairies wave their magic wands and ensure these children's wishes come true. This summer, our kids have received a keyboard, special Legos, tennis shoes of their dreams, and a bible with their name in gold. A certain remote control car was wrapped and delivered. FH friends all the way from Florida sent a dress-up kit and matching shoes for a special birthday girl.
muskogee shows up for kids
Fostering Hope Teen Board alumnae Annebelle Czaruk '22 and Wagner Czaruk '26 accepted a check from The Exchange Club of Muskogee.
Proceeds from the organization's annual Chili Cookoff support various children's services in Muskogee. Thank you to the Exchange Club for believing in our mission. One child at a time.
july benchmarks
July brought hope to children in 10 counties.
FH provided 60 hand-picked birthday gifts for children celebrating their special day, along with 56 Bags of Hope filled with 2,800 items. At the Fostering Hope House, guests ate meals, had baths, and had much-needed time to rest and recharge. Every detail reminds them they are seen, valued, and cared for.
FH Teen Ambassador Class of 2026-2027
Meet the 2026-27 Fostering Hope Teen Board. In our 7th year, the FH Teen Board is off and running. With 44 exceptional young adults, we have great things in store this fall. Their heart for serving is a gift to our mission. Students are from Bishop Kelley (Tulsa), Ft. Gibson, Hilldale (Muskogee), Holland Hall (Tulsa), Homeschool, Muskogee, and Porter Schools.
Giant Shoes to Fill
Recently, four children were removed from a home near Tulsa. Two of the children wore size 15 shoes.
The hunt was on to locate the needed size before the Bag Full of Hope pickup. Annie’s husband located the size at a local sporting goods store. These teens will now begin a new school year with a brand new pair of shoes.
Community Corner
Prayer Pillows
The Brick Church came together to bless children removed from their homes. The volunteer group sewed small pillows with supportive poems. The pillow contains a small cross to remind each child that they are not alone.
Community Corner-Art with Heart
Fostering Hope House must be a welcoming space for children in foster care. The first joyful mural painted by Muskogee’s Leah Payne and Chelsi Wallingford did just that.
Unfortunately, roof damage necessitated a reboot and a refined process for replacing the art. Thank you to the Muskogee Welfare Association for a generous grant to restore our beautiful murals.
Not only are the paintings a welcome to our children, but they are also a positive presence in our community. Art is a gift to everyone. Stay tuned and follow along to see the new mural take shape.
