Winter 2025

Happy New Year from the Fostering Hope Team. Here’s to all of you who support our mission and ministry. May you be blessed in 2025 with health, success in your endeavors, and joy in all you do. Together, may we continue to change the face of foster care, one child at a time.

Recent Highlights

Merry Christmas to all

Fostering Hope had the honor of being the Grand Marshal for the Christmas parade. This meant that FH and our Teen Ambassador Board got to lead the evening in style with The Grinch, Buddy the Elf, Santa, and other festive characters.

Quilt for a Cause

Remember Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors? Every square sewn by hand and with love? Our own young clients are the recipients of just such a beautiful gift. Longtime Muskogee resident Dolly Blair has created over 100 colorful quilts, each a work of art in 2024. A member of Ash Street Baptist Church, Dolly’s talent is a colorful affirmation that our children are seen and loved.

Angels Among Us

Thank you Brick Church for their December Angel Tree Drive. Because of the generosity of The Brick congregation, over 200 specific and requested items were donated to Fostering Hope. Legos, Toy Story, Bluey, and superhero toys were gifted. Teen gifts such as nail polish kits, fishing poles and tackle, sporting equipment, and makeup sets were included for our older clients. The Brick Church is a community partner and friend of Fostering Hope. We are most grateful.

Fostering Hope House News

A 17-year-old Hope House guest arrived exhausted and defeated. After a warm bath, she curled up on the couch with a cozy blanket and fell asleep. When she awoke, her Bags Full of Hope awaited her, and a Chick-fil-A meal was on the table. The young woman had never had Chick-fil-A and was delighted with her dinner and bags. Hard situations are made a little brighter with waffle fries and friendship bracelets.

Thank You Strictly Fitness

Thank you to Strictly Fitness for including us in their Weight Down Challenge. To help participants get healthy in the new year, they will donate supplies as part of the challenge to both Fostering Hope and Kids Space Advocacy Center.

Troop 7476

Recently, Fostering Hope welcomed Girl Scout Troop 7476 from Broken Arrow. The girls earned their Bronze Award, the highest award 5th graders can earn!

They learned about a need within their community, chose one to support, and then worked at least 20 hours per child towards their project. The troop donated essentials like hair care and makeup kits, hope notes, toys, and clothes.

Bicycles!

Thank you, Okie Mart Home Goods Store/Chupp Family, for your donation of over 50 new bikes for children and teens. We know bikes will be the perfect gift for our To-Go Birthday Party Program and that children will feel loved and celebrated across the state.
