Fall 2026 #2
Recent Highlights
Fostering hope goes to washington
September was a memorable month for all of us at Fostering Hope. We were recognized in Washington, D.C., by the Congressional Coalition of Adoption Institute. Executive Director, Annie Czaruk, accepted the 2026 Angels in Adoption award at the Capitol alongside recipients from across the country. Senator James Lankford nominated Fostering Hope, giving it a national platform on Capitol Hill. Thank you to Senator Lankford and Representatives Josh Brecheen and Alan Armstrong for allowing us to share ideas, brainstorm solutions, and for recognizing the work being done in Oklahoma to support children entering foster care.
This recognition belongs to our volunteers, donors, community partners, and everyone who has helped us continue to stand up and stand in for children. Thank you for being part of our story. From Washington, D.C., to communities across Oklahoma, Fostering Hope continues to grow because of people like YOU.
Every donated item, volunteer hour, sponsorship, and act of kindness reminds children they are seen, valued, and loved. Together, we're spreading hope across Oklahoma!
What a fun day with our friends at Okmulgee County DHS
Fostering Hope had the honor of joining the Muskogee Police Department and Sheriff’s Department to judge the costume and chili contests. From creative costumes to delicious chili, this crew brought their A-game!
We love opportunities like this to connect. Thank you for letting us be part of the fun!
Fostering Hope is Growing
We have exciting news about our growth and expansion coming in the next couple of months. Be on the lookout for the Hope Hive and hear lots more buzz about it in the coming months. Stay tuned!

Extra! Extra! 2026 Gingerbread Land Update
Together, we're building more than gingerbread houses—we are building hope!
Sponsorships are still available HERE. It's a meaningful way to recognize, celebrate, or honor a loved one, a special child, or promote a business. Due to popular demand, we've added an additional new sponsor level—look for a special gingerbread house display and recognized sponsors at Gingerbread Land.
Proceeds from Gingerbread Land support Fostering Hope's programs year-round, helping us provide clothing, essential items, birthday celebrations, and a safe, welcoming place for children entering foster care.

Community Corner
Thank you to the Muskogee Welfare Association for their generous grant to help restore our beautiful mural on our Fostering Hope House.
Murals do more than brighten our walls—they create a warm, welcoming space for children entering foster care while bringing beauty as well. One of our favorite quotes, written by author Brad Montague, is featured on the wall: “When we see children, may we see hope.”
We hope these words serve as a daily reminder to children, child welfare workers, and everyone who passes by that every child matters and that every child deserves to be seen, valued, and loved.
Birthday Wish Fulfilled
Thanks to our Fostering Hope community, a young man from Sequoyah County has western wear to help him feel connected to his late father, along with a fishing pole and other gifts curated just for him.
What started as a quick request became a full birthday celebration because people saw the need and stepped up.
